Day 10 - God is Love; Lust is Hate

Lust hates God, hates His design, hates us, and hates others.

1 John 4:7-8 - ⁷ Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. ⁸ Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.

God is love, which means that He is 100% love. God does not have or possess love; nor is love a percentage of Him. God is love entirely, infinitely, and perfectly.

But, what is love in God?

When the Bible says that God is love, God is telling us that He is Affection. But before creation, who did God have affection for? Himself. Only He existed before He chose to create.

God perfectly loves Himself from eternity past. He is His own Beloved. And He is His Beloved in a way that no one else is.

Whoever loves, having known God’s love through Christ, has been born of God. Having experienced God’s love, by being born again through Christ, born from above, we love because He has loved us savingly.

And we know God in a way the world does not.
