Day 9 – God is Beauty; Lust is Ugly
To lust is to be ugly, to desire ugliness, and to become uglier.
Psalm 50:1-2 - The Mighty One, God the Lord, speaks and summons the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting. 2 Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God shines forth.
Ecclesiastes 3:11 – 11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man's heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.
God is the designer of all things, the Creator whose beauty is reflected in His creation. His creation is beautiful because He is beautiful. Out of Zion comes Jesus Christ, God’s Son in the flesh, the perfection of beauty.
The very definition of beauty is God and all that He has designed. Many claim, “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder,” which, if true, means if someone judges something or someone as beautiful, then it must be true. This makes beauty subjective and based on the opinions of men rather than the perfect word of God.
