Will you Turn to Porn or Turn From Porn to Jesus?

You're living like the rich young ruler or like the apostle Peter

According to a poll by Barna in 2024, 75% of Christian men and 40% of Christian women occasionally look at porn. Dear Christian, Christ sees you.

When you see Him look at you, you have 2 choices:

1) Turn from Christ and turn to porn.

or

2) Turn from porn in repentance, weep bitterly, and turn to Christ in faith, and live His commands from your heart.

1) When Christ looked at the rich young ruler, he turned from Christ to his possessions.

The rich young ruler told Christ he kept the law from his youth. “And Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, “You lack one thing: go, sell all that you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.” Disheartened by the saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions (Mark 10:21-22).

2) When Christ looked at Peter, he wept bitterly, repented, and turned to Christ.

Peter told Jesus that he would never deny Him. And Jesus said, “Truly, I tell you, this very night, before the rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.” 31 But he said emphatically, “If I must die with you, I will not deny you” (Mark 14:29-31).

When Jesus was arrested and brought to the Chief Priest, Peter was outside the gate, but could still see Jesus. After he denied Christ twice, Luke writes, “And after an interval of about an hour still another insisted, saying, “Certainly this man also was with him, for he too is a Galilean.” But Peter said, “Man, I do not know what you are talking about.” And immediately, while he was still speaking, the rooster crowed. And the Lord turned and looked at Peter. And Peter remembered the saying of the Lord, how he had said to him, “Before the rooster crows today, you will deny me three times.” And he went out and wept bitterly” (Luke 22:59-62).

After Jesus was resurrected, He came to Peter, and Peter showed his repentance and faith, and love for Christ, by agreeing to feed his lambs, and to tend and feed His sheep. Jesus told him he would lose his life for following Him (John 21:15-19).

Choose wisely Christian.
